Due to the ongoing epidemic, many film shootings were halted, as the country went into lockdown to control the virus spreading like wildfire. The shooting of actor Vidya Balan’s Sherni ‘was also halted in mid-March. And now after about 5 months, director Amit Masurkar plans to slowly resume the shoot. And according to a Midday report, the film will go on floors again by the first week of October 2020.

In an interview with MidDay, producer Vikram Malhotra revealed the location of the next, He said—
“The next location is Balaghat; we will be filming in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh. The safety of the cast and crew is key, which is why we have waited for so many months to resume work. The number of cases is reducing, but the nature of the menace is such that we need to have our guards up”.
Vikram revealed that 65 percent of the film is yet to be shot and the producers have obtained all the necessary permission from the Madhya Pradesh government. And also told how his first tenure in Bhopal took three weeks, the team had to be brought back to Mumbai soon after the lockdown was announced. He also revealed that despite the condition that the unit was paid by the first week of May as stated in the contract.
In the film, Vidya Balan will play the role of a forest officer who is eager to solve the human-animal conflict. Are you excited? Let us know in the comment section.
