The streaming giant, Netflix, dropped the trailer for Bobby Deol’s Class of 83 today. The police drama is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The film, played by Atul Sabharwal, is expected to release on the streaming platform on August 21.
The film is set in Mumbai in 1983 and features the story of a heroic former policeman who was replaced as a police coach who trains aspiring Mumbai Police candidates and arrested a gangster named Kalsekar. The makers of ‘Class of 83′ described it as being inspired by true events.
The film stars Bobby Deol as Dean Vijay Singh and Anup Soni as the antagonist Manohar Patkar. It also stars Joy Sengupta as Raghav Desai with and Vishwajit Pradhan as Mangesh Dixit. Apart from these, 5 other new faces have been introduced by Red Chillies Entertainment for their first Netflix film, such as Ninad Mahajani, Bhupendra Jadavat, Sameer Paranjape, Hitesh Bhojraj and Prithvik Pratap.
