Nearly a month after being arrested in a drugs case involving the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Bombay High Court has granted bail to Rhea Chakraborty. Rhea was arrested on 8 September. However, his brother Shawik Chakraborty is denied bail.
ANI confirmed the development and even stated that Sushant’s employees Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant have also been granted bail by the Bombay High Court. Their judicial custody was extended till 20 October by a special court yesterday.
Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh, which she is expected to pay in a month’s time. Times Now reported that after being granted bail, Rhea’s lawyer said, “We have requested to grant bail on casual deposits. Passports for the 3 people who have been granted bail needs to be submitted,”

As per reports, Rhea’s lawyers asked for the arrest of NCB stating that no drugs were seized from the actress. In their bail application, Rhea and her brother said that they were targeted for ‘witch-hunt’ and no serious evidence was found against them. She had also alleged that her lover and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput used to consume curated marijuana and that he took advantage of those closest to him to maintain his drug habit, she tried to get leave him from it, reported by NDTV.
