The shooting of Jug Jugg Jeeyo was halted on Friday after testing positive for Covid-19 by lead actor Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and filmmaker Raj Mehta. The entire unit underwent screening in Chandigarh on Thursday morning after a crew member developed symptoms of the virus.
According to a report in Midday, a source revealed – “The hotel was immediately disinfected, and Varun, Raj and Neetuji were put in isolation in their respective rooms. Their symptoms are mild so far, and are being monitored by doctors.”
Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani tested negative for the virus. However, they will have to undergo a second screening in a few days. Reports state that the actor will return to Mumbai after completing the required quarantine in Chandigarh.
Meanwhile, Maniesh Paul, who is a part of the cast, returned to Mumbai two days ago. The actor has developed symptoms. The News source as saying – ”The actor has fever and is experiencing loss of smell. He will practice home-quarantine after running a test“. While the makers initially chalked out a start-to-finish schedule plan in Chandigarh, the shoot has been halted for three weeks due to recent development.
