Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the shows that spread laughter between generations. Over the past 12 years, the show and its characters have become an integral part of its audience’s lives.
Recently a post went viral, where a son thanked the show for bringing a smile to his father’s face. His father was suffering Brain stroke and in the ICU. A screenshot of the post was shared on Twitter by the show’s producer Asit Kumar Modi.
Modi wrote in his Twitter post, “Thank you for your love. Your love inspires us.“ In the post, the son, Akshay Mathur, revealed that his father was in the ICU for six days after suffering a brain attack. According to him, as his father was shifted to a ward, the first thing he asked for was watch Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
He further said that during a scene between the show’s characters Jethalal and Babita, his father smiled, proving the power of the show. He said the post was his way of paying tribute to the show’s producers.

After Asit posted the screenshot, the tweet was liked by fans of the show. One fan commented, “Sir, we truly love you and your serial TMKOC. You have given us a reason to smile. You have brought smiles, knowledge, happiness, and a little bit of tears. You might not believe it, but I have seen around 1 to 1,800 episodes 5 times. Please never stop the show.”
