Latest news about Southern beauty Keerthy Suresh reveals that she was suspicious about portraying veteran actress Savitri on the big screen. The biopic on late actress Savitri, played by director Nag Ashwin, proved to be a mega blockbuster at the box office. Now, media reports suggest that Keerthy Suresh was initially apprehensive to do justice to Savitri’s role in the biopic and hence decided to discontinue the project. The actress further says that she is happy that director Nag Ashwin decided to cast her in the film despite the film’s first attempt.

The actress received tremendous appreciation for her superb performance in the film. Keerthy Suresh went on to win the National Award for Ashwin directed. Now, the actress will be seen playing the lead role in an upcoming film titled Penguin. The crime drama will release on the digital streaming platform on 19 June. The trailer of the film was released recently, and it has created a lot of intrigue in the minds of fans and film audiences.

The actress is playing the role of a mother who is find her missing son. The project is supported by renowned producer of South Film Industry, Karthik Subbaraj. Fans and followers of the actress are now waiting for the film to be released. The crime thriller trailer has already impressed the audience.
