While we are all sitting back home and doing our job to curb the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus, police in the country are fighting outside and are vulnerable to coronovirus infection. They are constantly working – from guarding control areas, handling thousands of migrants, ensuring that no one gets out. Matters have grown rapidly in the country and our celebrities are doing their work by donating towards various funds. Similarly, director Rohit Shetty is also continuing his work. The director of Singham recently donated 51 lakh rupees to FWICE to help the daily salaried employees affected by the lockdown.
On Tuesday, Mumbai Police shared on Twitter that the filmmaker has arranged facilities in eight hotels for on-duty police. Their tweet reads, “#RohitShetty has facilitated eight hotels across the city for our on-duty #CovidWarriors to rest, shower & change with arrangements for breakfast & dinner. We thank him for this kind gesture and for helping us in #TakingOnCorona and keeping Mumbai safe.”

Prior to Rohit Shetty, his Simba actor, Sonu Sood, also offered his hotel in the city for doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have also extended their support to help by giving their 4-storey personal office space to the needy. Recently, Ayesha Takia and restauranteur husband Farhan Azmi took to their Twitter to announce that they have now offered BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) to use their hotel in South Mumbai as a quarantine facility.
