British-Indian actor Dev Patel is an artist of Indian origin who has earned us much acclaim due to his work in international cinema. This 73rd Independence Day the Slumdog Millionaire actor is set to be part of a special series put together by National Geographic, where he will be shown through an aerial view of modern India stories and connections with its mystic roots.
A two-part series, India from Above, will feature some rather breathtaking events in the history of modern India through a compelling, never-before-seen aerial shot filmed with the help of 4k drone cameras. The show has been shot in a year and includes four seasons and many terrains, which are made in India.
How exciting is it to be able to see our nation with its pride through such a different and interesting perspective. And to hear the story of the lives of 1.3 billion Indians through the compelling narration of Dev is going to be a treat!
The show is a joint production between National Geographic UK and Line Production. It is to premiere on 14 and 15 August.
