Aayush Sharma, who made his Bollywood debut with Love Yatri alongside Warina Hussain, is all set for his next film Guns of North. The film, which is an official remake of the Mulshi pattern, was to be helmed by Abhiraj Minawala, who also directed Aayush’s first film, Love Yatri. However, now according to a Mumbai Mirror report, it is now Mahesh Manjrekar who will wear the director’s hat for Guns of North.
The gangster drama will be shot entirely on real locations. Since it is a drama full of grit, the makers of the film decided to on Mahesh Manjrekar as he has directed films like Vaastav and City of Gold in the past. The film go on floors soon.
The report further states that the extended cameo of superstar, Salman Khan, has been dropped from the film. He was to play a Sikh policeman in the film. However, the producers felt that the police-track addition would take away from the film’s essence and hamper the script. Hence Salman will no longer be a part of the film.
The director is now working towards with the ensemble for the film. And reports suggest that a number of actors from the Marathi industry could be signed for the project.
